We made it to Houston! Todd woke up at 3am on Sunday morning and said, "Let's GO" so we jumped in the car and headed off! I am really glad he did because we got there around 1:30, right after lunch.
Dain and Chrissy had prepared a
gourmet meal for us and it was FABULOUS!! Pork ribs and some type of smoked sirloin butt meat, no clue but it was awesome! We rested in the afternoon in their beautiful new house. Today we woke up and traveled downtown to NASA. WOW! We had a blast!
Dain is a eye glass rep and gave
Addyson these
discontinued frames. She LOVES them and will not take them off. They are just glass, but she thinks she is so cool!! She needs nothing else this whole vacation, she has it all with those glasses!!
We took one of the tram tours immediately upon arrival while it was somewhat cool. In this building they have full size replica's of the shuttle. I have pictures of the shuttle but thought you would enjoy looking at the family instead!

fanatics! They got to meet Darth Vader and 2 Storm troopers. They LOVED it!!

They had the coolest "ride" where the kids were in harnesses and went through a
maze like Indiana Jones. The boys loved it and
Addyson did it, but it wasn't her favorite.
We also got to shoot these neat guns that were Clone War Blasters. It was dark in there and I didn't get good pictures of us inside.
The boys did a relay race through this pitch black room with lasers that they had to avoid.
KAmron went first and got the best time of everyone that had gone before him....

Kamron by 4 TENTHS of a second!! Isn't that hilarious!! Here is the score board!
After
Nasa we headed to the boardwalk and
KEMAH. It was fun. We got there about 4 and went to Joe's
Crabshack for some appetizers and drinks. We were hot and thirsty!! I am not sure how much DP and Sprite the kids had!!
LOL Dain and Todd got Oysters (2 dozen...YUCK) and we had some yummy calamari and crab dip.
Kamron ate an oyster. He came really close to throwing up at the table and then I almost followed after he was gagging. Not a pretty sight. Of coarse
Dain was
agging him on the whole time. He is better than me!!! YUCK~~ After Joe's we went to "The Beast" a really fast tour boat. I asked a lady in front of us to take a picture and she didn't get Chrissy in it. Chrissy is behind my big
ol head! These are our "before" pictures!!

This one is so funny because Todd can not stand hat to be worn backwards, HUGE pet peeve!! They didn't want their hats to fly away!

The boys are playing golf tomorrow and the girls are hitting the outlets. I doubt I will have any fun pictures, but we are eating at a really great
restaurant tomorrow night!! (We had
ice cream for dinner tonight, it is vacation, right??)

We started our vacation shortly after the parade and headed to memaw and papa's for hotdogs and watermellon. We missed the fireworks since we had to get up so early for our ong drive to Houston! Check back for more vacation photo's!
We played outside most nights. The girls brought their bikes and played with colored chalk. They drew "monsters with cavities" on the sidewalk, and Addyson saw a red ants TEETH!
We went to Legacy Play Village one morning before it became 105 degrees. The little girls wore Memaw out!! She loved every minute of it! (Ashtyn was in Oklahoma at soccer camp loving life!!)
Who is doing more work here... Memaw or Addyson??? Addyson looks more concerned about keeping the sun out of her eyes!

One morning, they headed out for a pedicure and manicure!! SPOILED!! (We love you mom!!!)
Memaw took them to Justice and bought the cutest outfits ever!! They were our little "Hanna Montana's"
The boys would spend many evenings with us too. One night we went to Joyland and had a BLAST! We really did wear out Nana and Memaw that night. Cousin Nicholas came too. It was a fun late night!!

2 afternoons after swimming lessons we headed back to Memaw's pool in her neighborhood. It is the BEST pool! Nicholas and Kierstyn joined in the fun.

One day at the pool, we met one of our friends from Muleshoe there. She still has a house with her sister in Lubbock and the kids loved seeing her there! Miss Addyson LOVES her. I am not sure how relaxing it was for her that day!

We were freezing Addyson out and I keep a blanket in the car for when Todd freezes me out! She looks like "Little Red Riding Hood"
We have been planning a big trip this summer for a while. We kept it from the kids until last week. I ordered these shirts and they got to open them. I don't think it totally sank in until a few days later. We leave in a few weeks and we are so excited!! I "hope" to blog each night about what we did that day to share with family. I will try.
